An incident has closed down Maxwellton Street in the west end of Paisley from Newton Street to Maxwellton Cross.
At least 20 emergency vehicles attended the incident after the “fire” break glass was smashed at the same time in Maxwellton Court high flats in order to raise the alarm that an incident had happened outside.
The area is expected to remain closed till later this evening.
One source stated the person who carried out the attack was apprehended on the cycle track shortly after the incident.
