A former housing estate in Paisley could be blocked off under plans being drawn up. Its understood McGills have been asked to come up with an alternative route for the Ferguslie Park route as if plans go forward it could see the whole of Tannahill closed down or fenced off until the area is flattened with work not expected to start till late in the summer.
In the mean time its understood Police Scotland and Renfrewshire Council will step up patrols in the area.
It’s also understood that local rumours of the previous demolition contractor going under are totally untrue as they are continuing to work within Renfrewshire. Planning documents on-line also back this up showing there was a cut off date for phase one of the demolition works.
