This past Saturday, Linwood High School hosted its much-anticipated summer festival, and it was a resounding success! The event was packed with fun activities and attractions that catered to all ages, making it a perfect family day out.
Fun and Games
One of the highlights of the festival was the variety of inflatables and stalls that dotted the school grounds. Kids and adults alike enjoyed bouncing around on the inflatables, trying their hand at various games, and winning prizes at the stalls. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement and laughter. Linwood School choir created a truly summer festive vibe with the choir providing the music.
Delicious Food
No festival is complete without delicious food, and the summer festival did not disappoint. A range of food outlets was present, offering a variety of treats to satisfy every craving. From classic festival fare like hot dogs and burgers to more exotic options, there was something for everyone. The enticing aromas and the sight of happy faces enjoying their meals added to the joyous ambiance.
Special Guests: Scottish Ambulance Service
A special highlight of the event was the attendance of the SORT team from the Scottish Ambulance Service. They brought along four of their vehicles, providing a unique opportunity for attendees to see what these life-saving vehicles contain. The team was on hand to answer any questions, offering valuable insights into their work and the equipment they use. This was not only educational but also inspiring for many young festival-goers who might be considering a career in emergency services.
Photo Opportunities
Adding to the excitement, the Yamaha all-terrain vehicle was a major attraction for photo opportunities. Many attendees seized the chance to snap a picture with this impressive vehicle, creating memorable moments to look back on. It was a great way to engage with the community and add a touch of adventure to the festival.
