A spokesperson added: “Around 2.30pm on Friday, 18 October, 2024 officers were called to reports of concern for a man within a property in the May Road area of Glenburn, Paisley. Officers attended and the incident was contained with no risk to the wider public a 37 year old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He will appear at Paisley Sheriff Court at a later date”.
It was evident that the emergency services were taking no chances. Firearms officers quickly moved to secure the property at the center of the situation, while nearby homes had their gas supply cut off as a precaution. Roads surrounding the area were also closed to the public to ensure safety.
