Earlier today, a significant emergency response was seen in Paisley as three fire engines, and a high reach appliance alongside other emergency services, attended a fire at the rear of a close on Walker Street. It’s believed flames licked up the walls outside the building forcing Scottish Fire and Rescue to force access to properties.
The fire, which has now been successfully extinguished, drew a coordinated effort from Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Police Scotland, and the Scottish Ambulance Service. The swift actions of all involved ensured the situation was brought under control quickly and safely.

To assist the emergency response, Wellmeadow Street has been temporarily closed from Well Street to Lady Lane. Drivers and pedestrians are advised to avoid the area while emergency crews continue to work on-site.

At this time, there have been no updates regarding injuries or the cause of the fire. Authorities are expected to conduct a full investigation once the scene is secured

The incident serves as a reminder of the vital role emergency services play in keeping our communities safe. Updates will be provided as
