A significant police presence descended on Glasgow Road, Paisley, following an incident on Tuesday evening, Police have now revealed a 17-year-old male was found seriously injured. Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service responded swiftly after reports emerged of the teenager lying injured outside the popular De Marco’s Fish & Chip Shop around 5:30 PM.
The area, which saw a considerable influx of officers, had been cordoned off between Lacy Street and Crossflat Crescent as part of the ongoing investigation. A police unit was also seen parked on nearby Crossflat Crescent, just a short distance from the chip shop.
While the details surrounding the incident remain unclear, Police have not commented on the teenagers condition, and no further information has been provided regarding the circumstances of the injury or the potential involvement of others.
Eyewitnesses reported a heavy police presence and several marked vehicles blocking off the area shortly after the incident occurred.
