A woman has been injured in an incident at Paisley Cross tonight, prompting a police response that saw part of the area temporarily closed off.
Police cordoned off the town hall side of Gauze Street while there colleagues from the Scottish Ambulance Service attended to the injured woman. Emergency services remained on the scene for some time as they provided medical assistance.
At this stage, there is no update on the woman’s condition, but it is not believed to be life-threatening.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and Police Scotland have not yet released further details.
