Four Teenagers Arrested After Armed Robbery at Paisley Tesco Express

Four teenagers have been arrested following an alleged armed robbery at Renfrew Road Tesco Express in Paisley during the early hours of Friday morning.

Emergency services rushed to the convenience store on Renfrew Road at around 1am on February 14, after receiving reports that a shop worker had been threatened with a weapon. Fortunately, the staff member was not injured during the incident.

Police swiftly launched an investigation, which led to the arrest of two 17-year-old boys and two girls, aged 16 and 17, in connection with the robbery. A BB gun was also recovered by officers at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed the arrests, stating: “Around 1am on Friday, February 14, 2025, officers were called to a report of a robbery at a premises on Renfrew Road, Paisley. A member of staff was threatened with a weapon but not injured.”

The investigation remains ongoing as officers continue their inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Local residents have expressed concern about the rise in crime in the area, with some calling for increased police patrols to deter further incidents.
