A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a driving offence following a collision in Paisley that left a woman in hospital.
Police Scotland confirmed officers were called to Gauze Street at around 5.46pm on Thursday, February 13, after receiving reports of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian.
A 60-year-old woman was injured in the incident and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. The extent of her injuries has not been disclosed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At 5.46pm on Thursday, 13 February, 2025, officers attended Gauze Street, Paisley, after reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian. A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a road traffic offence.”
Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
