The large-scale demolition project in the Tannahill area continues to progress well, marking a significant milestone in the regeneration of the community. All 52 council-owned blocks included in the initial contract have now been demolished, making way for future development opportunities and a revitalised landscape.
Contractors remain on-site to carry out essential site clearance works in line with the contract award. These efforts ensure that the area is prepared for the next phase of redevelopment while maintaining safety and environmental standards.
Meanwhile, progress has also been made on the voluntary acquisition of the last remaining block in the area. An agreement has been reached in principle, and once full ownership is secured, officers will move forward with the demolition of this final structure.
