A single-vehicle accident has led to the closure of Corsebar Road in Paisley this afternoon, causing disruption in the surrounding area.
Emergency services responded to the incident at around 12:30pm today, with road closures quickly put in place to ensure public safety. The crash, which involved only one vehicle, occurred when a vehicle was unable to stop coming down from the RAH to Corsebar Road.
As a result, nearby roads including Crow Road, Riccartsbar Avenue, and Corsebar Drive have been closed to traffic. Motorists are being diverted via Craw Road, with access available through the rear entrance for those needing to reach properties in the area. Pedestrian access is still possible on Corsebar Road, though it may be limited in places.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area if possible and to follow local diversions while emergency services work at the scene and carry out necessary investigations.
There is no word yet on any injuries or how long the road is expected to remain closed.
We’ll update this post as more information becomes available.
