The westbound carriageway of the M8 motorway reopened around 7pm this evening, following an earlier incident in which a lorry collided with a bridge. The crash occurred at approximately 2.50pm.
While traffic is now moving again on the motorway, Arkleston Road in Paisley — which crosses over the affected section of the M8 — remains closed and is expected to stay shut for the foreseeable future as safety inspections and repairs are carried out.
