Police Scotland officers raced to a Paisley convenience store this morning after a robbery left a local shopkeeper shaken.
The incident took place at the U-SAVE St Mirren Footstore on Love Street, with emergency services responding swiftly to reports of a robbery at 67 Love Street, Paisley.
Eyewitnesses reported a heavy police presence, with around nine police vehicles flooding the scene shortly after the alarm was raised.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland confirmed that a manhunt is now underway to trace the suspect involved. Officers carried out door-to-door inquiries and reviewed CCTV footage from nearby businesses as part of the investigation.
One local resident said: “It was chaos — I’ve never seen so many police cars. It all happened so fast, and we just hope the shopkeeper is okay.”
Police have not yet confirmed whether any weapons were used or if the suspect made off with cash or goods.
