Police are appealing for the public’s help following a break-in at a shop earlier this week.
The incident took place sometime between 10pm on Monday, 23 June, and 4.20am on Tuesday, 24 June, at a premises on Wright Street. Thieves made off with a significant haul, stealing alcohol and cigarettes valued at approximately £9,000.
Detective Constable Kate Wason, who is leading the investigation, said:
“Our enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible and we are keen to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious. We are also asking people living in the area to check private CCTV and dash-cam to see if they have anything that could assist with our investigation.”
Police Scotland are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has relevant footage from the area during the time of the break-in, to come forward.
