⚠️ Smoke Warning – Whitehaugh Avenue, Paisley ⚠️

Emergency services are currently responding to a fire at a derelict building on Whitehaugh Avenue in Paisley.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service crews are at the scene, tackling the blaze at a former Ministry of Defence (MOD) property. The building is understood to contain significant amounts of timber and furniture, which has contributed to a large volume of smoke in the area.

Two fire appliances were mobilised, and firefighters are working hard to dampen down the structure and ensure the site is made safe.

Local residents are being advised to keep their windows and doors closed due to the smoke, which may continue to linger for some time.

The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed, and emergency crews are expected to remain on site until the area is fully secured.
