A man who was arrested and charged in connection with the death of a 39-year-old man in Paisley has now been named as 40 year old David Arthur, he will re appear in court next week.
The 40-year-old appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court on Friday, 4 July, 2025, following the incident which took place in the early hours of Thursday morning.
At around 2.35am on Thursday, 3 July, police were called to the Greenock Road area of the town. Emergency services attended and the 39-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where he died a short time later.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
