Paisley Man Jailed for Seven Years Following Conviction for Serious Sexual Offences

A 19-year-old man has been sentenced to seven years in prison for a series of serious sexual crimes committed in Paisley.

Kyle Jackson was jailed at the High Court in Glasgow on Wednesday, 23 July 2025. The sentencing follows his conviction on multiple charges, including rape, coercive and controlling behaviour, and assault, at the High Court in Paisley on 11 June 2025.

The offences were committed between September 2020 and October 2022 and came to light following a detailed and lengthy investigation by Police Scotland.

Detective Sergeant Jonathan Campbell, who led the investigation, said:

“Kyle Jackson is a dangerous man who carried out these horrifying crimes across a number of years, and he will now face the consequences of his despicable actions in prison.”

DS Campbell praised the bravery of the victims, adding:

“This outcome was made possible thanks to the victims who came forward and reported him and I commend them for the strength they have shown during the investigation and court proceedings. Our thoughts remain with them, and I hope this sentencing offers them some comfort as they move forward with their lives.”

non-harassment order was also issued against Jackson.

Police Scotland has reaffirmed its commitment to investigating all reports of sexual crime—regardless of how long ago they occurred.

“We remain determined to bring those responsible to justice no matter how much time has passed,” said DS Campbell.
“I urge anyone who has been the victim of any offence of this nature to come forward to police – you will be fully supported by our officers and partner agencies.”
