Shutters Come Down on Paisley Piazza Shop as Administrators Called In

More than a thousand high street jobs are at risk this week after Bodycare, the well-known health and beauty retailer, called in administrators.

The chain, which sells fragrances, toiletries, cosmetics, and skincare products, employs around 1,500 people and operates nearly 150 stores across the UK. The Paisley branch is among those affected, with its shutters already down.

Administrators Interpath have been appointed to explore potential buyers for parts of the business, in the hope of saving some stores and jobs.

Bodycare is owned by Baaj Capital, a family office led by Jas Singh. The announcement marks a challenging moment for the high street, as both shoppers and employees face uncertainty over the retailer’s future.

As the situation develops, the local community will be watching closely, hoping that some of Paisley’s high street jobs can be preserved.
