A three-vehicle collision led to the closure of Maxwellton Junction in Paisley earlier this afternoon.
Emergency services attended the incident and two women and a child were taken to hospital as a precaution, our thoughts are with those involved, wishing them a full and speedy recovery.
Police Scotland closed off the road from Main Street, Castlehead, to Maxwellton Junction. There was no access towards the Royal Alexandra Hospital from Maxwellton Junction while police awaited the recovery of the vehicles.
The road has since been cleared, and officers are continuing their inquiries into the circumstances of the accident.
