Police Appeal to Trace Missing Man from Barrhead

Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace Graeme Quinn, who has been reported missing from Barrhead.

Graeme, aged 36, was last seen around 2.10pm on Friday, 26 September, on Crookston Road. He is described as being around 6ft tall, of slim build, with short brown hair. He has the letters “GQ” tattooed on his neck, and other tattoos on his arms and hands.

When last seen, Graeme was wearing all black working clothes, which had paint on them, along with steel toe-capped boots.

Police say Graeme’s black car was found in a supermarket car park on Crookston Road on Friday evening, but there have been no further sightings since the afternoon.

Inspector Kevin Dougall said:

“Graeme’s black car was traced in a supermarket car park on Crookston Road this evening, but he has not been seen since earlier this afternoon. Concerned for his welfare, his family and friends had been trying to find him but when they had no luck, we were contacted.

Officers have been checking the local area and viewing CCTV as well as speaking to people but there have been no further sightings of him.

We are continuing our search and would ask people to keep a look out for Graeme. If you have any information as to where he may be or have seen him this evening at all, then please call police via 101 quoting incident number 1877 when calling.”

Police and Graeme’s family are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare. Anyone who may have seen him or has information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1877.
