A section of Argyll Avenue in Renfrew was closed late this afternoon following a two-car collision outside the Diageo warehouses.
An eyewitness reported seeing a grey Audi leave the Diageo site and collide with a black Mercedes-Benz on the road outside the complex. Emergency services were quickly on the scene, with police and ambulance crews attending.
One driver was treated at the scene by paramedics before being transferred to hospital, a second ambulance arrived at one point carrying a scoop stretcher to give to the first ambulance. The extent of their drivers injuries is not yet fully known.
The road was closed to traffic for a period while emergency crews worked at the scene but has since reopened.
