A brand-new Wendy’s burger restaurant could soon be serving customers in Paisley‘s Phoenix Park, with the famous American fast-food chain planning one of its first Scottish openings of 2026.
A representative from Square Burgers Limited, who would operate Wendy’s restaurants in Paisley, confirmed exclusively to Paisley Photographs that they are proposing to open 24 hours a day, seven days a week at the former Tim Hortons unit in the Phoenix Retail Park.

A late hours catering licence has now been submitted to Renfrewshire Council for the vacant unit, signalling the next step in bringing the popular chain to the town.
If approved, the move would mark Wendy’s first outlet in Renfrewshire, adding to the growing list of dining options at the Phoenix and bringing another big-name brand to Paisley’s food scene.
Wendy’s, founded in 1969 in Ohio, USA, is known worldwide for its square burgers, Frosty desserts, and fresh, never-frozen beef. The brand made its UK comeback in 2021 and has since been expanding across the country.
Local residents have already begun sharing their excitement at the prospect of the American favourite arriving in Paisley, with some saying it will be a welcome addition to the area’s late-night dining options.
