Two men arrested after alleged incident on Paisley Road, Renfrew
Two men have been arrested after an alleged incident involving a weapon on one of Paisley’s busiest routes.
Police Scotland said officers were called to Paisley Road, Renfrew at around 1.20am on Monday, December 1, 2025, following a report that a man was seen in possession of a weapon.
When officers arrived, they arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with an alleged breach of bail. A 30-year-old man was also arrested over outstanding warrants.
The force confirmed that enquiries remain ongoing, but stressed there is no risk to the wider public.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said:
“Around 1.20am on Monday, December 1, 2025, we received a report of a man in possession of a weapon on Paisley Road,Renfrew.
Officers attended and a 28-year-old man was arrested in connection with breach of bail. A 30-year-old man was arrested in connection with outstanding warrants.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and there is no risk to the wider public.”
