A man (age 44) has been arrested and charged with 2 thefts and 4 attempted thefts committed between 26th and 27th December 2025.
These crimes were committed in the Whitehaugh, Castlehead and Charleston areas of Paisley. He will appear at court at a later date.
Police Inspector Lorna McLaren said
“These offences are concerning as they targeted vulnerable members of our community. This arrest is a result of proactive police work by local officers and information provided by members of the community.
“We would like to remind residents to remain vigilant and to report anyone acting suspiciously to 101 or 999 in an emergency situation.
“Please keep your doors locked and ensure cash and valuable items are kept out of sight”
