Glencoats Park in Paisley was sealed off on Friday as police investigated an alleged assault in the nearby Oakridge Crescent area.
A 38-year-old man was attacked at around 2am in the early hours of Friday morning. Emergency services were called to the scene and the man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment. His current condition is not known.
Police cordoned off entrances to Glencoats Park till around 1pm while officers carried out door-to-door enquiries at neighbouring properties.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.10am on January 2, we were called to a report of a 38-year-old man assaulted near Oakridge Crescent, Paisley.
“He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital and enquiries are ongoing.”
