Man Found Injured Prompts Huge Emergency Response

A man was found injured at Waverley Road in Paisley at around 9.15am this morning, prompting a large emergency response.

Emergency services attended the scene at the Waverley Road demolition works, where the man, aged 36, was discovered. His current condition is not known.

An ambulance and a specialist trauma unit were sent to the incident, along with three fire engines and a heavy rescue vehicle.

Police Scotland confirmed officers were alerted shortly after 9am.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said
“Officers and emergency services are in attendance on Waverley Road in Paisley following a report of a person being found injured. Police were called to the scene at around 9.15am on Friday, January 9.

“The road and adjacent footpath is currently closed at Durrockstock Road and the public are asked to avoid the area.”

The Scottish Ambulance Service also confirmed its involvement. A spokesperson said:
“We received a call today to attend an incident on Waverley Road in Paisley.”

Renfrewshire Council have placed an emergency road closure between Ivanhoe Road to the junction of Durrockstock road.

The incident remains ongoing and enquiries are continuing.
