Appeal After Woman Attacked in Paisley Park

Police Officers are appealing for information after a woman was assaulted in Paisley.

Around 3.40pm on Friday, 9 January, 2026, the 54-year-old was walking in Moredun Park on Gleniffer Road, when she was assaulted by a man.

She attended hospital for treatment to non-serious injuries.

Extensive enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.

The suspect is described as a white man, around 5ft 8in tall, with a stocky build and he spoke with a local accent.

He was wearing a dark jacket, and a hood or hat which had distinctive glasses or goggles, and a dark scarf or snood covering his face.

Detective Constable Michael Bowles said: “We understand that incidents like this are concerning for the local community but please be assured we are doing everything we can to trace the man responsible.

“Extensive enquiries remain ongoing and I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time, or who recognises the description of the man, to contact us.

“Additional patrols will be carried out in the area and I would encourage anyone with any questions or information to approach these officers.”
