A driver who struck and killed a 63-year-old man in Paisley has been jailed for more than six years.
Callum Fox hit Jim Paterson on Brediland in November 2022. Fox, also from Paisley, appeared at the High Court where he was sentenced by Lord Cubie.
The court heard that Fox had originally faced a jail term of eight years. However, the sentence was reduced to six years and four months after he entered a guilty plea.
In addition to the prison sentence, Fox was disqualified from driving for 11 years and two months, a ban which will begin once he is released from custody.
