Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with a series of ATM break-ins and thefts across Scotland.
The men, aged 23 and 27, were arrested in England on Monday, 12 January 2026, following an investigation into a number of incidents involving cash machines.
The charges relate to break-ins and thefts at ATMs on Whitburn Road in Bathgate and Burnbank Road in Falkirk on Tuesday, 7 October 2025. The pair are also charged with attempting to break into an ATM in Newtown St Boswells on the same day.
Both men are due to appear at Jedburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 14 January 2026.
The 27-year-old man was also arrested in connection with an outstanding warrant and has been charged in relation to further ATM thefts. These include incidents on Kirkintilloch Road in Lenzie on Saturday, 28 June 2025, Perth Road in Scone on Sunday, 29 June 2025, and Main Street in Bridge of Weir on Monday, 18 August 2025.
He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, 15 January 2026.
