A Paisley road was closed late last night following a fire at a property in the town

Police Scotland deployed four vehicles to cordon off the area, with closures in place at the Douglas Street and King Street junction, Sandholes Street, and the Broomlands Street and King Street junction.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent four appliances including a high reach to tackle the blaze at a property on King Street.

Emergency services remained at the scene for a time while the fire was brought under control. As far as is known at this stage, no one was injured.
