Around 4.45pm on Tuesday, 27 January, 2026, a man entered the premises and threatened a member of staff with a knife before making off with a three-figure sum of cash. There were no reported injuries.
Following enquiries, the suspect is believed to have made off towards the Crossflat Crescent area where he got into a vehicle, described as an older style grey car.
He is described as white, around 5ft 9 in height and of slim build. He was wearing a black jacket and had a dark blue hood up, black trousers and black trainers. He was also wearing a black face covering and spoke with a local accent.

Detective Constable Colin Leggat said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for the staff within the shop.
“We are appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the robbery or who saw a man matching this description, to contact us.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed what happened, or has CCTV or dash-cam footage which may assist.”
