Just off Porterfield Road in Renfrew lies Nethergreen Wynd — an idyllic, quaint, little curved street. It’s the kind of place people dream of living: plenty of parking, peaceful, quiet, respectful, and completely litter-free. A street where neighbours care, pride is visible and the environment is clearly valued.
But travel a short distance to Paisley, to West March Road, and you see the other side of that story.
Here, fly-tipping tells a very different tale — and disturbingly, much of it comes from that same “quaint” Renfrew street. While Nethergreen Wynd remains spotless, its waste is being dumped at West March, shifting the mess, the cost, and the consequences onto another community.
So the cleanliness of this beautiful little Renfrew street doesn’t come without a price — it’s simply being paid by someone else.
These photos were taken on Monday 9th February and was reported ( with photos sent ) to Renfrewshire Council immediately so I gave the council 48 hours in which to retrieve the addresses, after all I don’t want the dumper trying to now hide there address.
