A burnt-out white van has been cordoned off on the A726 towards the St James interchange after it caught fire earlier this morning.
Motorists reported seeing smoke coming from the vehicle before the driver pulled in, with flames quickly taking hold. The van, a Renault Master, has suffered extensive fire damage, with the engine bay, side panels and roof visibly badly affected.
Blue and white Police Scotland tape has been wrapped around the open rear doors and the body of the vehicle, signalling to passing drivers that officers are aware of the incident and that the vehicle has been secured.
