Officers from #GlasgowRP have had a busy week targeting illegal and dangerous drivers across the regional road network, seizing more than 40 vehicles and arresting several motorists.
Alongside responding to emergency 999 calls — ranging from assisting stranded motorists on motorways to dealing with serious, life-threatening collisions — road policing officers have continued proactive patrols aimed at making Scotland’s roads safer for everyone.

In the past seven days alone, more than 40 vehicles were seized after being driven without a valid licence or insurance. Officers also arrested a number of drivers suspected of drink or drug driving, while several stolen vehicles were successfully recovered.
A number of offenders found themselves spending the rest of their day in custody — described by officers as a “#Roomwithnoview” — before being handed over to the courts.
Police say the activity forms part of ongoing efforts to tackle dangerous driving and reduce risk on the roads, warning motorists that taking chances behind the wheel can have serious consequences.
They are reminding drivers of their straightforward message: #DontRiskIt.
Below is a snapshot of some of the highlights from the past week.
