Today marked the end of an era on Paisley High Street, as the WHSmith name disappeared
Hundreds of kids had a summer of fun thanks to Renfrewshire Council’s free holiday activity camps.
Around 500 places were taken each week at the fully booked sessions provided by the Council’s Community Learning and Development team and Street Stuff.
Activities included football, basketball, hand ball, hockey, badminton, tennis, dance, art and crafts. Sessions took place twice a week in Ferguslie, Foxbar, Gallowhill, Johnstone, Linwood and Renfrew.
While at the event, kids received a free healthy lunch.
Work has started on the construction of 65 new council houses in Gallowhill as part of Renfrewshire Council’s large-scale housing regeneration programme. The £13.7million development
