Well Street remains currently closed tonight after a fire in one of the buildings at the corner of Well Street and Clavering Street East, the road is expected to open again in the next few hours according to emergency services attending the scene tonight
The alarm was raised at around 10.34pm tonight to reports of a small roof fire within the locus of Well Street, Police have confirmed there was no injuries and that the buildings were vacant at the time under the Well Street re-development plan.
Scottish fire and rescue immobilised four appliances to the scene which included a height appliance.

Westend again ! well street fires seem to be never ending…… it seems to be the area od Paisley thats all forgotten about. A street opposite there has now been closed off for five years and the council don’t seem to do anything about it ! whats the councillors of that area doing I wish I knew who they were.
