Police in Paisley have launched a search for a suspect after a 36-year-old man was robbed and threatened late on Sunday night.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:10 p.m. in a common close in the George Street area. The victim was approached by a man who threatened him before stealing his mobile phone.
The suspect then fled the scene, heading towards the Canal Street and Main Road area.
Authorities have described the suspect as a white man, believed to be in his twenties or thirties, with a slim build and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a dark green hoodie, jogging bottoms with black and white panels at the thigh, and trainers. He also spoke with a local accent.
Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information about the suspect’s whereabouts to come forward. A spokesperson for the force said:
“We take incidents like this very seriously and are committed to ensuring the safety of the community. If you have any information, please contact us immediately.”
