Police provide update on Paisley Incident
Plans are underway to install a defibrillator and bleed control kit outside the Nationwide Building Society on St Mirren Street, Paisley. The initiative aims to provide public access to lifesaving equipment 24/7. Careful consideration was given to the conservation area’s aesthetics, with the cabinets designed to be visible yet unobtrusive.
However, less than 48 hours later — just feet away from where the campaign was launched — police remained on scene following an altercation at a nearby taxi rank.
Detectives in Kilmacolm are seeking public assistance regarding a housebreaking and theft that occurred between 31 March and 3 April 2026.
