The contract for 101 new homes in Ferguslie Park has been awarded to AS Homes (Scotland) Limited, the new Council dwellings will be built on the site of the former St Fergus’ Primary School on Blackstoun Road.
The newbuild development has been designed to provide a mix of house types and sizes to meet current and future housing needs in the area, including 2, 3 and 4 bedroom back and front door houses, 1 and 2 bedroom own door flats and 1 and 2 bedroom bungalows.
It is hoped that work will start on site in the next few weeks, with the first handovers in late 2021 and final completion in spring 2022.
Work on the second project at Blackstoun Road at the junction with Westburn Avenue will see 22 homes built by Ferguslie Park Housing Association on the site of the former Apex Centre, this is due to start on site in 2022/23.
