Proposed Causeyside Street Works Will Delay Emergency Services And Cost Lives

The proposed no right turn from Canal Street into Causeyside Street would delay emergency services as was shown last night.

Last night Scottish Fire and Rescue sent four pumps to a flat fire in the towns Causeyside Street, this would have meant under the new plans Scottish Fire and Rescue would have been delayed by vital minutes if they had to travel up past the Canal Street junction into Gordon Street before returning down Gordon Street to turn left into Causeyside Street.

Luckily this time their has been no persons reported injured, but in future delays could lead to the loss of life.
