The body of a man was found in the White Cart Water near Arran Avenue in Paisley around 9.55am on Monday, 10 April.
He is still to be formally identified but the family of Evan Reid, 31, who had been reported missing on Friday, 25 March have been made aware.
There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
