It had been highlighted to Paisley Photographs that bank card trapping devices have been found on cash machines in the Paisley area in recent weeks.
Customers have went to use cash machines, and the card they have used has been held in by the device and the screen then informs the customer with something like the the machine is not in use or no longer working, In some cases the customers have waited around 10 – 15 minutes before leaving the machine only for the person who had put on the device to remove the card and use it outwith the Renfrewshire area.
You can help cut the risk or card trapping happening to yourself by using in-store cash machines or obtaining cash from the bank counter or a Post Office counter where possible.
