Caledonia Street Closed Down After Serious Assault

Caledonia Street remains closed from Albion Street/ Murray street Junction to underwood road this includes side roads to Andrew Street, Blythswood Drive, MacDowall Street,Glen Street and wellington Street.

The serious assault happened outside one of the Premier stores on Caledonia Street. Members of the public t the scene stated someone had been stabbed.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.40pm on Friday, July 14, officers were called to a report of a serious assault on Caledonia Street, Paisley.

“A man was taken to hospital for treatment.

“Officers are in attendance and some road closures are in place while enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
