A 67-year-old man has been arrested following a disturbance in Paisley.
Around 7.05pm on Monday, 2 March, 2026, we were called to a report of a man seriously injured at a property on Blackstoun Road.
Specialist officers, including firearms, attended as a precaution.
A 66-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, consistent with being stabbed. His condition is described as stable.
The 67-year-old man was traced at a property in the Westwood Gardens area a short time later.
The man was arrested and enquiries are ongoing.
Chief Inspector Iain Farmer said: “I understand this was a concerning incident for the local community, however I would like to offer reassurance that there was no risk to the wider public and we are treating this as targeted.
“I’d like to thank the public for their patience and assistance while we attended.”
