A major food production facility could be built on land within Ferguslie Park if new plans receive the green light.
Proposals have been submitted for the development of a large-scale food production facility for Dalziel Ingredients Limited on land to the south of the St James Interchange at Burnside Place.
The plans outline the construction of a production facility alongside warehouse and storage space, office accommodation, and the formation of a service yard. The development would also include a covered roof canopy, staff and visitor parking, and associated works to support the operation of the site.
If approved, the facility would be located on land within the St James area of Ferguslie Park, close to the St James Interchange, a key transport link which connects to the wider road network.
Dalziel Ingredients Limited specialises in the supply of food ingredients to the food manufacturing industry, and the proposed development could represent a significant investment in the area.
Planning documents indicate that the site would be designed to support modern food production and distribution, with dedicated space for storage and logistics operations.
The proposal will now be considered by Renfrewshire Council planners, with a decision expected following a period of assessment and consultation.
If approved, the development could bring new employment opportunities to the Ferguslie Park area while making use of land close to an established transport corridor.
