Police have sealed off a large area of Linwood early this morning following the discovery of a suspicious package left on a residential doorstep.
Emergency services were called to the scene after the item was reported by concerned residents. According to locals, the package was found in the area around Hart Street and Cotton Street, prompting an immediate response.
A cordon has since been put in place, with officers urging members of the public to avoid the area while investigations are ongoing.
