Police appeared to have carried out an operation in Paisley town centre this afternoon after officers descended on George Street.
According to local residents, around four police cars and two police vans arrived at a close on the street, with officers remaining at the scene for around an hour.

Witnesses reported seeing police entering the close while vehicles were positioned nearby during the incident.
The operation drew attention from people in the area, although there was no obvious disruption to traffic or surrounding businesses.
Police later left the scene, however there is currently no indication of what type of incident officers were dealing with.
It is not yet known if any arrests were made.
