Police cordoned off part of Blackstoun Oval in Ferguslie Park on Monday afternoon following unconfirmed reports of a shooting.
Officers sealed off the street earlier in the day, with access restricted for around 90 minutes as police carried out inquiries in the area.
While the wider cordon has since been reduced, police are now focusing their attention on the cul-de-sac within Blackstoun Oval, which remains tightly sealed off.
Residents reported a significant police presence at the scene, although Police Scotland has yet to confirm the nature of the incident or whether anyone has been injured.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and there has been no official confirmation of reports that shots were fired.
Police inquiries are understood to be ongoing with a heavy presence of Criminal Investigation Officers in the area.
