Man Arrested After Firearm Discharged at Paisley House

A 20-year-old man has been arrested after a firearm was discharged at a house in Paisley.

Police were called to reports of a firearm being fired at a property in Blackstoun Oval at around 11.20am on Monday, June 1.

Officers attended the scene and closed the entrance to Blackstoun Oval to vehicles while investigations were carried out.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

A 20-year-old man has since been arrested in connection with a firearms offence, with enquiries ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 11.20am on Monday, 1 June, 2026, we were called to reports of a firearm shot at a house in Blackstoun Oval, Paisley.

“No-one was injured and extensive enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances.

“A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection a firearms offence and enquiries continue.”

Police investigations remain ongoing.
