Two men were taken to hospital after being stabbed during a disturbance outside an Aldi store in Renfrew.
Emergency services were called to High Street at around 5.45pm on Tuesday evening following reports of an incident outside the supermarket.
The two men, both aged 28, made their own way to hospital, where they received treatment for stab wounds.
Police officers attended the scene and carried out enquiries in the area. Witnesses reported a significant emergency service presence on High Street, while the nearby police station on Station Road was also reportedly locked down and cordoned off with police tape for a period of time.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is now underway.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.45pm on Tuesday, 2 June, 2026, we were called to a report of a disturbance on High Street in Renfrew.
“Officers attended and two men, both aged 28, had made their way to hospital for treatment to stab wounds.
“Enquiries are ongoing and officers are following a positive line of enquiry.”
